Viva la Video

Two months ago I spend a couple of days with a Dutch crew shooting several fashion stories.
They made a video out of it, have a look I think it looks fab!

Something for the weekend

Look at these little jumpers!
I bought a frog cookie cutter last week and couldn't wait to try it out. My icing could be a bit better but I think they look cute :)

My favourite cookie recipe:
150 grams of butter
100 grams of sugar
1 egg
a teaspoon of vanilla extract
a pinch of salt
mix all these together with 250 grams of flour and a teaspoon of baking powder.
Preheat oven to 175dgrs or gas stand 3
Roll the dough out to a 5mm thickness and cut out your shapes.
Bake for 15 minute till golden brown

If you want to ice your cookies let them cool completely and mix icing sugar with food colour and a bit of water until you get a thick paste. Pipe the outline of your animal, you can use a special piping bag, I like to use a freezer bag. Put the icing in a corner of the bag, twist it around so your bag resembles a piping bag and cut of a small corner of the freezer bag.
Once the outlines are done you can fill the rest in, make your icing slightly thinner by adding a little bit more water. Use a small spatula. or teaspoon, to fill in between the lines.
Add cake decorations or sweet for eyes/ mouth/tongue etc.

Happy baking!!

sixties seaside

Remember the picture of the packed beach from last week? Well on that glorious Sunday we woke early in the morning to do a fashion test shoot on the beach. Photographer Elmar Krop and stylist Renske van der Ploeg were over from Holland and fancied exploring the seaside, our favourite model Kimberly was also game to spend her Sunday morning shooting so see her the results!
I love my new hometown as a location, and then the commute isn't bad either ;)

What a difference a day makes

What a difference 5 days can make.
Last Sunday the beach was packed with people sunbathing, enjoying the Indian summer, today its stormy and the winter sea defence is going up!
You can almost smell the autumn in the air while a few days ago we were bare legged and licking ice creams! Am looking forward though to the chunky knits, the long scarves, the hot chocolates after a brisk walk and all the autumn hues; rusty brown, deep yellows and oranges, cant wait!!
